The Curious Canada Jay

This curious Canada jay surprised me during an early morning field trip to our lab's research site on Cypress Mountain in West Vancouver. I had my headphones in and was just focused on the task at hand, when all of a sudden I found myself surrounded by a flock of these adorable birds! One jay in particular (the one pictured here) was particularly gregarious, and decided to pose for a photo.
