Break Time

Katie Tjaden-McClement

This mother moose and her young calf chose this spot in front of one of our remote wildlife cameras to settle down and rest for just over 2 hours, providing this snapshot into their lives. This capture comes from a research project in the Chilcotin Plateau of west-central BC, were I am using remote cameras to investigate the responses of large mammals like these moose to habitat disturbances including logging and forest fire.
