Sea Turtle Conservation

Brian Jones

Took this photograph while walking on the beach and spoke with a volunteer who was doing sea turtle conservation. Baby sea turtles are looked after in order to protect them from animals such as seagulls, pelicans, dogs and people who poach them. Sea turtles face lots of challenges due to pollution, human interference, plastic pollution as well as many other factors that affect them. Along the west coast there has been decrease over the years of sea turtles as numerous factors affect their population. It was a lovely experience getting to see them up close and understand more about them.
